Katie Noonan has now signed a new recording deal with SonyBMG Entertainment and is ready to release her new album “Blackbird” in October 2009. After the breakthrough success of her debut solo album “Skin” Katie returns with a collection of Lennon and McCartney love songs interpreted in a jazz style.
Katie is recording the album in NY in August with some of the finest jazz musicians available. People like Ron Carter (Miles Davis), John Schofield (Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones) , Joe Lovano (Cassandra Wilson) and Lewis Nash will be the core band for Katie’s new CD. “Blackbird” will be released in October and Katie will be doing live shows all the way up to Christmas in support of the new CD.
